Do you drive a truck? If not, why are you giving your opinions about anything on a trucking forum?

Sorry to bore you with facts, but the actual number of words used in regulations pertaining to EU cabbage sales is actually greater than 21.000,the original document was 2000 words but....as it has to be translated into the languages of 28 member countries that's how many words???? The BBC along with majority of broadcast media were 'in tears' literally after the exit vote, just to get back on to trucks though,as good as the scania 141,142,Volvo F88 Fh16 were, and even allowing for the good old days trips to middle east,European trucks aren't seen still working after rebuild like a lot of the guys on here, the mileages and conditions in general don't compare, and the style factor doesn't come close to the USA,as for triple digits, best I know of was a mate who 'freewheeled' a F86 to 90mph was banned in UK n had to swap trailers at french ports doing round trips to Middle East, before Europe wide bans were enforced

In Western Europe, no one rebuilds trucks. Far too expensive. They are shipped to the third world and poorer European countries. This company is one of those exporters:

Used Trucks for sale online |Tractors|Semi-Trailers|Tippers|Mixers| Kleyn Trucks .com .nl

I can not imagine US trucks being shipped to third world countries, other than Mexico.

Yes, of course. He tinkered with the speed limiter, and that is highly illegal. European trucks can make that speed when you remove the limiter, but when the police catches you, you can loose the truck.

    What bans??

And Whilst Tesla is Building it free of Charge. The Electricity It Produces is still heavily Subsidised by The South Australian Government....

Edit: The Batttery Stores Electricity produced by a Nearby Wind Farm. This Electricity is Subsidised..

I understand what you mean, but I wonder how many older US trucks are really safe. In Europe every truck is inspected every year, I noticed that similar scheme's do exist in a few states, but in many others they don't exist. Sometimes the police checks trucks, and many east European trucks have a lot of defects. Having to keep your trucks save and environmental friendly is costly, that's why it is cheaper to buy a new one after 5 years or so.

Yes, but the costs of these technologies is sinking rapidly. We're building big windmills in the North Sea, the estimated costs of these wind farms dropped by billions in a few years time.
