Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

We have either a state inspection or federal that's mandatory every year......

I'd put my truck up against any new truck on a safety inspection....

And dumping 5-10 grand on the truck from time to time beats spending 120 grand on a new one . And it costs less to register and insure an older truck.

And if there's no work I don't have a new truck payment to worry about.

OK, didn't know there's a federal inspection too. I saw a table with the state inspections schemes for cars and trucks, and noticed that some states had a yearly check, and others had no check what so ever.

Yes, of course if you maintain it well...

Trucks are often leased, when the lease period is over, the lease company will dump the truck. They don't want to invest in old trucks.

    Nice question :) :)

To tell you the truth, neither of them. I don't believe in noisy trucks. The people who live next to the roads hate it. Over here we invest in developing special asphalt mixtures that reduce the sound of tyres on the road, we build concrete screens along roads and railways to baffle the sound. Trucks should be as quiet as possible. That's better for the driver as well, lots of noise from engine and exhaust is wearying, and bad for your ears.

They start to produce them in 1959, few years latter as 3axle as well, they started to produce this model in 1969. Stopped production for europe in 1975. Restarted production in 1978 for export markets, keep them in production till 1995. Still made in iran under licence.
Its predecessor 2623 from 1969, was first truck of my father back in 1971
