I'd like to know how far the king pin is set on euro trailers , maybe a real euro trucker , could answer that , most of ours are about 36" , this could also be an issue
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Having to make a trailer just for a new euro cabover would also be impracticable it would need to be able to fit under a trailer , without moving the fifth wheel so far forward (to load the front axel ) that the frame would contact the landing gearOxbow Thanks this. -
It's the distance from the front of the trailer to the king pinspyder7723 and Oxbow Thank this. -
You mean from the king pin to the front of the trailer? That would be 63" in Europe, if I'm not mistaken.

When you start digging it just creates more issues , when a driver told you a euro truck sold in NA wouldn't be a euro truck anymore this is why , it would be configured very differently .
Then the worst problem still is where do you get it worked on , there is no parts or repair network set up to service all the new systems .
If they would use our components and your cabs then maybe , but that's not going to happen .
So even if there was demand for cab overs and there isn't , how do you get around the rest of the issues .spyder7723 and 98989 Thank this. -
It's hard to get around that and make your truck work here when we don't have those restrictionsspyder7723 and Oxbow Thank this. -
