We don’t.
FH16/Globetrotter models are built in Europe,Africa,Asia,Australia and South America and are sold in those markets. Believe it or not in Brazil they’re used in competition racing. They may look small but the horsepower and torque they have are comparable or in some cases better some of the conventional tractors sold here.
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

This could well be the most powerful 'normal' tractor that was ever build. It started life as a ÖAF 44.792 tractor (ÖAF = MAN, max. weight 44 tonne, 792HP), but later on the engine was replaced by a 1000HP V12 D2842 MAN engine, connected to a 7 speed Renk automatic gearbox. The D2842 is still in production in various versions, for rail, marine, generator applications etc. It's also still being used in airport fire engines, but alas it is not clean enough for street legal trucks, or perhaps better, MAN hasn't developed such a version.
