I take it then that you have never heard of the danger of fine dust for the lungs? Fine dust is not only caused by engines, but also by other sources. There are European limits for the amount of fine dust in the air. It may well be that the new Euro 7 standard that seems to be in the making will limit the amount of fine dust particles of a certain size in exhaust gasses.
