As was proven in a post a page or two back. A late 90s to early 2000s detroit is only an insignificant amount dirtier than a 2015. and because epa regs extend to all manufacturers the same can be said for cummins and cat.

I planted 2 trees on my property a year ago, that should neutralize the excessive carbon footprint of my dirty pre emmissions truck.

i think it makes no sense to talk more on this topic, over last 500 pages we were discussing that there are some really good features that your market refuse to buy for different reasons.

i want to show you that despite US truck industry is very conservative and using very ancient things, they opt for most problematic solution for relatively simple emission norm. tatra manage to make euro5 on truck with mechanical fuel pump.
scania make euro6 trucks without egr which use more def but this is cheap here.

spyder7723 and Cat sdp Thank this.

    Insignificant?

    CO 1.49 > 0
    NOx 3.89 > 0.01
    PM 0.095 > 0

    That is insignificant???

You speak as if you think the US doesn't use wind and solar energy.

For my one truck operation? Ya its rather insignificant.

However you are in luck. We had the winning bid on 10 acres next to the old family farm in Ohio. Thats a lot more trees in the mix. Guess my carbon footprint just went in the negative.

Do I? Several postings back I wrote this:

Yes, for your truck only it is insignificant, but not for all trucks with detroit diesels together, as you very well know.
