Newer systems also react on people, or better, living objects, like we saw on the video. Even the new VW Polo has it.

Anyone that lets small children ride public transportation shouldn't be allowed to breed. That's flat out neglect.

As for your anecdotal auto bahn situation. I say let them do it. My dash cam will prove what happened and they will be paying for a shiny new bumper hood radiator and paint job. But i sure as hell don't want some troublesome auto brake system that can cause an accident in order to avoid the slight chance someone will try to get me to hit them.

And what happens when a deer runs out in front of you on an icy rural highway? The truck attempts to perform an emergency stop (antilock brakes or not) and places you promptly in the ditch instead of dealing with minor damage of hitting a deer?

From this post my conclusion is that you are not aware of ebs, disc brakes with help of ecas which will adjust air pressure in bags to gain better contact.

Still, this only improve things it does not mean you can drive twice faster than with your trucks.

You are still driver system is only assist to you. it is not there to be instead of you.
If you move steering wheel, brake or push accelerator system will dissengage. I think it is nattural reaction on such objects as deer to try to brake or avoid it with steering so you are going to brake anyway

Do your heated seats keep a consistent temp when they are turned on, even if they are on for hours at a time....?

My new paccar seat comes up to temp and then turns off automatically.....

    Paccar sucks the big one.......
