After reading this, and knowing that there will be no ABS on the wheels of the new tractors, I very much doubt that this would ever be allowed in Europe.

Why is a 7 yr old air dryer housing a bad thing? First an air dryer will rarely go bad if your compressor is not pumping out oil and the purge valve is working correctly. and second if you have a good parts supply house local its a lot cheaper to change the filter and purge valve than the entire unit, depending on model and manufacturer of course. My bendix for example, i can buy the bendix made filter and purge valve for 80 bucks, vs 280 for the entire unit. Or i could buy some cheap aftermarket Chinese/mexico unit that will only last a year for 150 dollars. So at a glance it looks like i have never serviced my air dryer and its 17 years old, but obviously that is not the case, it gets a new filter and valve whenever moisture appears in my tanks.

He was talking about cartridge (filter), not the housing.

We don't need lower wage jobs, the companies are screaming for people they can't find.

By the way, I found a pdf of a Dutch magazine from the time the MX13 was introduced. A the time the most powerful MX-13 was 510HP (now 530HP), but they wrote that the 560HP was planned for some years later. That will be the twin turbo I mentioned before, but it seems they gave it up for some reason.

We had the mess to clear up after the iron curtain fell.
    Whole different ball game.
But we are getting there slowly.

No, but when you look at that truck, you will see that it was made to be as low as possible. Transporting EU trucks with a sleeper cab the way you suggest would mean that the transported tractors would be far to high to pass under viaducts, that could present a bit of a problem.
