    I honestly don't know.

More or less the same setup is possible with 4x4 tractor as well. Seems much more flexible to me. You can use the tractor for other jobs as well.

Maybe the front part of the articulated dumper is better suited for the 6 meter (20ft) snowplow?
    Maybe total price is lower?
Maybe total price is higher but they have too much money to spend?

    Typical pickup truck plow setups.....

Driveways, small parking lots etc.....1 ton pickups do a good job. And they can be decked out with options. Cost like $70K for a diesel loaded with options. Can be work truck and daily driver too .

I would take the top plow on this ^^^^ truck

    P.S. Not invented by a Dutchman....:-/

Don't normally see many pickups with plows on them around here. Usually its 1 or 2 people in a diesel dualie with a dump trailer and skid steer loader so they can haul the snow away to a snow dump. I got a buddy who does snow clearing with his and makes really good money as a one man show.

    You should know better.
First of all the type of sleeper you mean can only be used on European semis if you use much shorter trailers, everyone in this forum knows that.
Secondly the practices shown in this video are illegal. On 20 December 2017 the European Court of Justice ruled that trucks drivers are not allowed to spend their weekend rest in the cab of their truck. In Germany the driver and his employer will get a hefty fine if this happens. So the truck drivers have to stay in a hotel or motel in the weekend rest period. By the way, it is not allowed to drive a truck on Sunday in Germany.

Everything you saw in that video is an almost criminal exploitation of truck drivers.

Maybe if you had decent sleepers it wouldn't be illegal!

That is a possibility, but then we can only haul 20 feet containers. Do you think that is viable?

This has been european law for a much longer time, but not all the countries enforced this law. For example France, Belgium and Germany do, The Netherlands don't.

A lot of these companies plan their trips in such a way that the drivers can take the mandatory bi-weekly long rest period of 45 hours in The Netherlands so they could in the truck and not pay for a hotel or motel.
By being so lax enforcing this european law, The Netherlands more or less encouraged this .

Hopefully the European Court ruling will make countries like The Netherlands enforce this european law as well.
I think we all agree that a european sleeper is not a place to live in for weeks on end.
