    You obviously have never plowed snow, and yet you know more about how a snow plow should be designed than those that do.

    Think about how silly you sound when you say that the V plow should be designed to push snow to the side rather than up.

    When a V plow is needed there is more snow than a truck mounted plow can handle. When a road is drifted in six feet deep there is no room to push snow to the side because it is full of snow. The V plow pushes the snow up and out, over the existing snow. When a V plow cannot handle it then a blower needs to be used, but a blower is slow, and expensive to maintain.
