Seems funny to me..... The same companies that are selling you trucks over in Europe are selling them over here. So why are they so different ?
Wieght laws , bridge formulas etc is some of it but there's more to it...?
One thing is Americans don't like to be told "mine is better".
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Actually the differences are getting smaller and just cosmetic.
And the COE vs hood thing will also become less as the EU will go to hoods,they will just be short hoods.
So in the longterm this thread will become more like talking about different model off the same brand.
Some will hate it,some will love but the future is as good as decided ,it is just we don't realise it yet. -

But what I can absolutely not take is poor fitment and vibration.
But if the hood stay still it sounds promising. Can't imagine having to watch something vibrating 10h a day -

Those "old fashioned" gearboxes are quite nice on highway work and very reliable, synchromesh manual is still better than any gearbox as an all rounder except ZF's manual which is rubbish! As far as auto shift go there are some excellent ones like I shift (the best ) but some serious crap out there too
