Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

And where do I find 'options'?
-
i dont know how do you upload them,
if you use them from your personal galleries than they must be public
if you put them here where you write posts just use insert image
or best way use photobucket -
I used 'insert image', just as I did before. But the last 4 images appear as 'attachment'
-
They were developed for Rotran.
This is what they used before "Pacific" was the make.
They also have a bunch of these.
These are better IMO.

Scania man and Cat sdp Thank this. -
I have a friend that worked in the engineering department at Pacific Trucks. Their motto was "when in doubt, make it stout".
Scania man Thanks this. -

They had 500hp Cummins or 800hp Cummins in the "Ultra".Those Tractomas are Cat powered. -
Who needs a scania V8 when you have a cat in the house.......ha ha! -
I do know that on 2 occasions they lost traction and rolled backwards on an incline.
We had to send a vacuum pump go pump the oil out of a transformer that the one dropped off the side of a mountain.
They did not recover the transformer.
I was told the reason was not the trucks fault but rather the setup coupled with a bit of driver error.
They were using a modular trailer with a hydraulic neck imposing weight on to the truck.
As the loads were only about 80 ton they used only 6 lines (12 axles).
This seems okay but the trailer is very short with only 6 lines set up and the driver stopped on an incline and pulled away a bit violently.
On pull away because the load was so high and the trailer so short it leaned back and took weight off the drives.
The truck then lost traction and started rolling back , the driver could not remedy the situation and it went off the side.
The other incident resulted in a jack knife I believe.
If they had used 8 lines they would not have loaded the transformer that near the rear edge of the trailer and it would not have leaned back enough to lift off the truck I'm told.
I believe that contractor now sets up the rig differently on light loads.98989 Thanks this.
