there are version wih oil bearing too

 

The Mack m ride uses conical rubber bushings. Old Rockwell suspensions used tapered bearings/gear oil. US army FMTV 5 tons used setup like m drive with tapered bearings/gear oil.

 

older trucks used roller bearing, man latter switch to tapered guide bushes with recess for oil flow
