I've learned there's nothing you can do about it. #### it, stay right and blow by em.
I've noticed a lot of times in heavy traffic I get further in the right lane. Everyone flocks to the middle or left

Some roads like i84, i90 and i495 in Massachusetts I be in the middle lane because there is some signs that cause my trucks "safety sensor" to slam on my brakes. But I can go 70 mph. So unless there is a hill I'm usually going that. Oh also middle lane in parts of route 1 in Massachusetts because that traffic

First teach people to merge at the speed of traffic, second teach everyone to keep right. Don't mix up that order or you'll have constant backups in the right lane.
When you're cruising along in the right lane with nobody in front or behind you and some idiot 4wheeler never looks over their shoulder, out their driver window or in the mirror while unknowingly forcing you to either brake, merge left or run them over... That really grinds my gears!
It's all a result of widespread lack of common sense and common decency. ABS, Airbags, life vests, vaporless no spill fuel nozzles, and every other nanny device or contrivance has created a society detached from reality and logic.
People drive in the center lane because it's the best defense against the incompetent but it's not the solution to the problem. The solution will be a merge button on the steering wheel that accelerates and filters into traffic seamlessly with a 98.7% success rate because teaching humans to be mindful of others has proven futile time and time again.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -

Just another day for steering wheel holders in theyre governed trucks running the center lane on the ohtp .
Same losers that have to be the first one to the scale , pass on upgrades they can barely pull , bust ### to get around you and get off at the exit a mile ahead.
Had a big rigger fuel hauler that wanted to race on 322 in penn today , I finally backed out of it so the fool could get into the sand mountain truck pull out and go 15 mph down the hill .
Truck drivers are getting dumber by the day .Canadianhauler21, Speed_Drums, Last Call and 4 others Thank this. -

I was just curious of what others explanations were, and I get it. The busier the highway, the safer it is to get into the middle lane until things let up. Especially when so many cars don't know what a cruise control is. The ride up in the middle lane, slow down and ride next to you for the next 10 miles so if you needed to get over, you can't.
Better to claim that lane early before someone else hogs that lane preventing you from any lane change that's needed.
