Why do some on the forum say that truckers don't make more than a fast food worker

40 hours per week vs 120+ hours per week and nights away from home in a high-risk, over-regulated job. Burgers are tasting mighty good about now.

your kidding right? I must be poor then working for my hourly wage getting paid to wait to be unloaded......

 

Detention is not working for hourly wages, it's being compensated to not work. This was a commentary on the mindset of people when they talk hourly wage, not a proclamation that nothing should be charged by the hour.

 

I say drive and get paid salary. That way you're getting paid no matter what.

 

Would not the Boss man then work the Dog S outta one? Huh?

 

I run all 70 every week anyway. I would hate for those lazy terminal dwellers to be making the same check though.

 

Not at all if you work within your hours.

I'm going to do a road test for a company that's regional, pays salary, and ill work 4 (10's). Just hoping I get it
