Sadly I was pretty happy with my salary when I was a Burger King store manager. 24k salary with full paid bennies via BCBS along with holiday bonuses and misc. franchise bonuses . Made my own schedule 7-3 Monday thru Friday

WOW!! 24k? I have a couple of friends here that are managers at BK's and there salary is 50K a year. I thought they were bs'ing me till they showed me their tax statements.

I think once you start figuring out what you "would" be making if you were hourly. Then it sucks!!! Just like being salary. I made 55K a year, compute all my hours worked in a given 2 weeks and figure out hourly and it sucked but I did the work because I enjoyed it.

Just like trucking, people do it because they enjoy it.
