o by the way, i have seen pilot receipts and even their records of the transaction off by sometimes up to an hour
DOT knows this, as well as they are not concerned where you are by the minute
their concern is that you are not driving too long, or you are not where you said you were
we are allowing them to drive our trucks to the minute, which is too much stress for anyone, including DOT
Why do some on the forum say that truckers don't make more than a fast food worker

Anyone else ever notice people who think of pay in "per hour" terms tend to be poorly compensated? I have never worked for an hourly rate (save for a 5 day industrial gig that had to be paid hourly because of massive overtime) and yet I always make more money than my friends. My bills dont accrue based on hours, so why should I be concerned with what I make in an hour?
More to the point, what is an hour of my time worth? Answer: it depends what I did that hour. I have made less than minimum wage, all the way to over $50/hr(one day I made $112/hr, and I'll never forget it). At the end of the week, regardless of my rate per hour, what's left over is income less expenses. As long as that is a good number, I'm a happy man.
Hourly wages are for poor people, productivity wages allow me to make more in less time.Trucail Thanks this. -

I mean, I know that's very nitpicky and unlikely to affect anything but lawyers look for that kind of stuff. -
