Ever consider popping a couple benadryl when you stop?

Why, it's messing with my natural sleep clock. If I am going to use even OTC drugs to get sleep or what not, I may as well use illegal drugs.

The fact remains, Elogs are not a drivers friend regardless of how you want to paint the picture.

Yeah, I can manage my time in COD from 15 minutes down to 5 minutes because that is what the computer is set for by the company.

It doesn't stop the fact my company expects me to change my stop time when I work more efficiently than they can plan.

I never had so much of an issue with e-logs (other than the occasional need for 3 to 5 more minutes). I have an issue with the archaic rules that the powers-that-be keep coming up with in the interest of legislating "safety" and "a more perfect lil' ol' world".

I think E-logs are a direct cause of so many fatigue related wrecks.

I like to sleep between midnight and 6am, so if I have to run 2 log books to sleep when my body likes to sleep I will do it...

My momma always told me "if you aint got nothin' nice to say your better off to say nothin' at all" so I'll keep my mouth shut regarding drug use and truck drives being compared to someone who runs a little over on their hours...

    Jeez ain't that the truth....

I posted in another thread how this e-log actually is likely to save my butt too....

Seems Sioux City IA mailed me a speeding ticket for 66 in a 55. When I contacted the company about it, the e-log records showed that I was doing the speed limit for the entire time I was going through Sioux City at the same time that they said I was speeding.

And since BOTH documents are LEGAL (one being a federal document) documents, which do you think the judge is going to listen to in court.

Your post said that your 10 hours was up at 2am and your appointment was at 8am, 6.5 hours away. You were already going to be late. How did elogs cause that issue?

Not being a smart ###, but I don't get it.

my company plans things off a 10/14 schedule. Yop, I was already at least 1/2 hour late. My reload appt was at 9 AM the same place. So why add to the already bad situation.

The company sets appointments off the 10/14 schedules we run. If they are seeing we are pulling ahead on it, they swap our appointments with other drivers who are running behind or pull another load up to fill in ours.

I see where that would suck. You bust your butt to get ahead and have some time to chill, then they see you are ahead of schedule and change your appt.

not to be rude, but that seems to be a problem with your company, NOT the elogs. I am on elogs, and I tell my company when I can run and when I am available.
