Why do truckers tell stories?

Still don't see where he said he had run 6k in a week.... merely stating that he believes it's possible running a paper log lends to his lack of experience. As stated in his profile 0-1 year. Any seasoned driver knows that a 89 mph average over 6k miles in one week, is impossible, paper logs or not!

I do, however, agree that owning a clear violation of law in a public forum is not smart, no one ever said that people in general have common sense or exercise their ability to use it.

 

My second trainer would have conversations on the phone about setting up covert operations around the world...he also sold missiles...talked to Oliver Norths secretary a lot too. Great trainer though.

 

Post #2 in this thread claims 6200 miles in one week and says it's the truth.

A driver for a company I worked at was the biggest story teller I ever talked to.Every day is was another lie.Lets see,he seen a rat the size of a dog,he was attacked at the Pilot in Rapid City,a black guy broke his window at the Pilot in Memphis,JBHunt driver got arrested by the FBI for drugs.The last straw was when he said a black guy is getting beat by 5 drivers then laughed about it.A drive gave him a cam corder,he was roobed at gunpoint,the list goes on and on.Finally I had enough,told him to not call me anymore until u quit lieing.

Let me take the other side. I have been called a BS'er many times. It does not bother me but it tends to end the conversations. We all have lead different lives. We don't know each other. We only meet as ships passing in the night. I guarantee there are things that I post about my background that folks don't believe. Not about trucking. I am not that good at this job. But the other things I have done. I try not to share information as there is always gossip and gossip hurts. You get isolated.

I was Air Force. I also ran a group of banks in Africa. I have worked as a carman for the railroad. I am a black belt in Judo. I hold a BS in Nuclear Engineering and a PhD in Physics. I am currently taking my third year of law shool online. I also am using Rosetta Stone software to learn Spanish, Mandarin, and German. I am not very good at languages so that is hard for me. I never worked for the CIA but I did provide them with information. My Cousin, a female who graduated from the University of Arkansas was at one time the number two person in the CIA. Then one day she was walking around and forgot where she was. Early onset alzheimer's. I have played golf with George W. Bush when he was Governor of Texas. I am a friend of John B. Anderson who ran for President as an independent in 1980. I did not know him then but worked with him on the board of something called the Coalition to End the Permanent Congress. I have twice been Nominated for the US Congress and am friends with many of the folks there. I have had one date with both Dorthy Hamill, skater and Debbie Boone singer. Molly Ringwald the actress is a good friend of my nieces. I, after winning a contest sponsored by Bud Light in 1982 got to sing five songs on stage at Daytona Beach for Spring Break with the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean.

All of the above are true. Online here, I mentioned taking an F15 to 100,000 feet and got called on it. The person calling me out is not aware of all F15 projects and does not know fo the models that were designed to launch anti satellite missiles as part of the Star Wars program. That program is not listed on Wiki. When he called me on it, I simply stopped talking about it.

I know where the report of yellow cake uranium came from that George Bush used to justify the Iraq war. It came out of Nigeria. Some Nigerians claimed they had yellow cake and some Iraq lost money trying to buy it. It was a Nigerian scam of which there are many. No Nigerian had yellow cake. But the Iraqis did try to acquire it.

And finally, and this you may find hard to believe, I never had sex with that woman, that Monica Lewinsky.
