Why do truckers use linear amplilfiers with their CB radios?

    Well I have 500 watts to my twin hustlers and only use in the isolated long hi way 5 watts in 4 later traffic yes good antennas on a rig will go a long ways the extra watts mostly use on the ham bands but if I need it to reach a buddy it there POWERAD

    we use linear amps for more power. like Tim Allen always said more power...... juice it up but don't let it jack you up....

    We'll bud if you don't like the trucker channel go to another channel most all buds talk to each other and if you listen you know what's happening ahead of you and when you left behind you news coming in and pass when your going out.. yes become a ham/cber trucker action is on the hi way you will hear the news and when you want to become a ham liston on 2 meters ha ha you will come back to truckers 19 cb get a ham ticket become a ham/cber I am a ham/cber but if your a real trucker and stop belly aching be happy get to know us on the rolling hi way after 30 miles I won't hear you any more I got smokie ahead waiting to hear the traffic and activities and trucking giving traffic reports saving lives oppps your old lady chatting now hee heeeeeeee it is fun too the dxer

    Outlaw he has his own rig and he looks for loads from any one that wants to hire him ( outlaw) he pays his own $ bucks for keeping his rig he owns it weeeeeee hard life .

    In laws, Outlaws, who cares, Modern trucks are very picky about real power. I run 200 and 400 watt radios because I can and most of you mud ducks cant. It is really that simple. When I hear some Yankee whining I key down on his butt and hammer down till he gives up. Because my 200 or 400watt radio can.

    It is really that #### simple.
