Noise toys. Just gotta know how to use them.
If ya can’t aggravate everyone ALL AT ONCE using a noise toy, you ain’t certified to use itYMItrucking Thanks this. -
Have you ever been trying to get directions from a trucker that's going the opposite direction and run out of range before they get to the most important part? You can't have too much range on a radio.
This really is a self explanatory question, not trying to sound like a smart ##*.
My Cobra 19 goes out of range within 3/4 of a mile when passing a driver going the other way. I can still hear a good bit farther than that but I'm done talking. -
EBay
RM ITALY KL203
75W for $75 shipped. Tiny. 12A fuse. Will run with radio off factory cubbyhole circuit.
Shown here with an AM/SSB UNIDEN 980. (Amp switchable to AM or to delay with SSB).
You’ll get heard just about as far as you can hear. Coax & antenna system will determine it.
Timin770 Thanks this. -
Your range is greatly determined by my receiver.
Don't blame the Cobra 19. Blame the idiots that can't hear you. With a good receiver you should be able to hear further than other people can hear you. Most people have no clue how to use a radio and turn up the squelch rendering their receiver useless. -
But, did anyone die running an amplifier?
