I'm surprised that they would go to channel six. That's usually the superbowl channel down here in Alabama.

I have no idea why 6, all I know is one suggested 15 and the other said lets drop down to 6. Never heard them after that.

Could be lots of things. D.O.E. (Department of Energy) has vehicles like that for escorting nuclear weapons transport. Could even be FBI, CIA, Homeland Security or just a third party contractor working in the RF field.

I can setup a cobra 25 to bleed all over 40 channels. I can also use the same radio to peg your meter from 5 miles away and thats with a bare foot radio! It will sound like crap but it can be done.

There are all kinds of little tricks to do to a radio to make you "think" it's a big radio:biggrin_25525:

Yes I know like a poorly done npc mod to overvolt the finals which becomes a splatterbox.

No trick you can do to a 29 will peg my meter from 5 miles and 2 channels running barefoot and still make me think its a "big radio".

    #1 I know exactly how radio's work

#2 I know where I run my receive gain

#3 I was a Navy Sonar Tech for 14 years, I have very trained ears
