Why do trucks monitor barometric pressure?

    Not helpful. BTW over 900k trouble free miles and still not ready for its first in frame overhaul so not sure what you’re talking about.

    Ambient air temperature or Outside air temp is OEM supplied and is not read by the engine on your model. The baro sensor is a Cummins sensor on the Cummins engine harness and only measures that pressure. Engine serial number would confirm this, but I'm pretty sure this is the case. Not a IH guru.
