I know this might tick some people off, but in my opinion this is the age old issue of somebody wanting to play OO with the attitude of a company driver. If you are a OO, you are a business man, best start acting like one and learn how business works. It’s not like being a company driver where you get a steady paycheck every week for that weeks pay.

When the rates were $4/mile they were $4 per mile that was the past. Who really knows if the rates could of been $6 per mile and the Broker was scheming & jipping those O/o's? Regardless, inflation wasn't up like it is today and the O/o's could earn a reasonable living then. Those who defend brokers are probably brokers themselves or corrupted small fleet owners themselves who condone and promote the b.s. thinking a o/o should shut up and take what they can get from a load board with the simpleton sheep following mentality. Yes, a O/o doesn't have to take those loads but image if 99% of O/o actually didn't take those loads? (Of course that will never happen) the market that is flooded with a lot of O/o's would have more honest brokers posting a better rate on the load boards to get those loads delievered. Or even better those Shippers would be talking directly with the O/o's they meet offering true rates.
I believe there are good brokers out there like any other career who genuine post reasonable rates. However, some are just badminded with No intent of being reasonable. Those O/o's who could careless, might be more established and want the abundance O/o's to simply give up and leave because their selfish situation is "good" and they don't give a #### about anyone else's situation. Some might even be morons who are suckers of punishment. Being a reasonable business man with integrity usually shines in the end whiles the rest fall down eventually.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 8, 2023

That didn't take long to turn this into another broker transparency thread.

Blaming everyone else for your own shortcomings is an easy way to distinguish yourself as someone who will never succeed.
Truth hurts.
Rates are down on the spot market. I can go get more direct customers; I can sit the rest of 2023; I can change industries; I can sell assets. I have noone to hold my hand or rub my back and tell me it will be alright. It’s all on me to succeed or to fail.mc8541ss, Renegade92, haycarter and 6 others Thank this. -
US is built on credit. Allows money to circulate more freely, but also allows for you not to get paid if someone goes out of business.
I however never plaid that game before trucking. I shipped products wholesale after I got paid.Renegade92 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Where did I say or show I'm 'Blaming someone else for my short comings?'..?
Technically that makes No sense especially when I'm Not using a Load board just simply discussing the issues involved around it.
You see ignorance occurs when assumptions are made. I ask that you don't assume when you haven't a clue involving my business. By you blatantly making a pretentious statement about yourself 'changing the industry showcasing you mindset as well'. Don't be a sheep of the industry it's never a good look either. Good day 'sir'.Renegade92 Thanks this. -
I agree. That's enough for this one.Renegade92 Thanks this.
