If it weren't for the CB, how would guys locate the "commercial company"? :biggrin_2559:

I don't see what the issue is here. Get a SSB radio and there's usually less trash. You don't think chat rooms don't have filth?

It's the same situation in the U.K., C.B. seems to be used less and less these days.
I miss it a lot. I'm hoping it will make a comeback.

So how bout everyone try and talk on their cb again it can't hurt to try. Its not gone just people are beginning to give up. I can understand why and i'm not driving a truck yet but why not try and bring what was good and fun to hear on the cb back? I've heard what drivers say on the cb before and yes it is quite rude and inappropriate. Its just a thought so don't bite my head off for it lol.

If you want to talk there is almost always someone out there. Too many just talk trash and if they hear a woman they start bragging about their member and such. I still use it up in ND,SD and other remote areas . At night there are always a lot of bull haulers running and some are pretty good guys. I haul over dimension so we don't get to run the interstates too much. If you see someone else out there in the boonies they are normally as bored as you and ready to yack.

i would think its hard to compete with talk radio.. i know when driving long distances in the car i listen to savage nation, am coast to coast / art bell show, bill cunningham, glen beck, sometimes rush & the leprechaun o'reily..and when i'm not listening to that im blasting music.. :biggrin_25515:

I still keep my radio on but I keep the squelch turned up and I find myself turning down the volume when there are too many idiots yackin' about whatever idiots yack about. I like to shoot the breeze as I roll along and there are quite a few drivers that'll get into a conversation if it's not completely stupid. My radio is usually off in truckstops 'cause there's nothing going on there worth hearing.
