IMO its a good thing !
People that fill their head with regurged public media
"need that stuff",the more they listen the longer it will be before they clog Ch19 with their"regurgitated" version of what they "heard"
They get smashed as well.
40 freakin channels and you want to park that BS here ?
S M A S H E D ! take your girlfriends to another channel
I have no need for XM radio,I dont need "entertained" while Im "working".
Yeah the concept of "work" evades many
Why doesn't anyone talk on the radio anymore?

I use to own one of these...purchased it from a shop at the Petro on I-80 in Ohio...Akron I think...a few miles west of the PA line...
Anyways...I mean right out of this box this thing had everything I ever wanted in a radio...plenty of power...echo...sound effects...clean crisp sound...the whole panel lights up...and more...
Although I think I owned a model slightly larger than this one...
I've never had more compliments than I had with this radio...
It cost around $350.00....
Actually now days It's better to just get a nice radio out of the box, rather than get a cheap one and butcher it by adding on...cause by the time you get done butchering your Uniden or cobra...you will have spent about the same...but still not quite have the quality...
the only bad thing about these higher end radios...is that not really made for truck dash life...all the bumps ect ect...
Not only that...higher end radios like this have to be perfectly tweeked...swr's and all have to be right on....
Now if you want high power and performance with durability...connex is the way to go...connex is like a 'hummer' of high power dash board radios... -

My Stryker went out on me...ended trading it in for a Magnum...which also went out on me...the Magnum model I got had bad 'finals'...
It was a nice radio also...but I did not get as many compliments with the Magnum that I did with the Stryker...
A total of $600.00 in high end radios...and they both broke...so I just went back to a cobra 25 basic right out the box...
The technitions that looked at my radios told me that most drivers just can't handle higher end radios which require more attention...
(stay away from 380 magnums...beautiful looking radios...but they have bad finals..) -

Magnum Force....
Here's a photo of the radio I have which no longer works...I guess I should send it in and either have them fix it or maybe on day just buy another...
It's exciting ordering radios over the internet...you get to see so many brands and styles most have never seen...although I purchased this one in Knoxville, TN...at that T/A...
The two guys who work there look young enough to still be in highschool... -
I have the Stryker 440HP exact same as in the photo, its more than 2 years old, and I have never had a single problem out of it. Maybe I am just lucky...
The only beef I have at all is the brightness of the LED's on the front. Its horrible at night, and if you are in a thunderstorm at night where conditions are bad at best. That radio becomes a liability to have turned on. I generally leave it turned on, but throw a dark towel to kill all that bright light.
