Okay so got some posts to put on here after a whole week out on my own, and here is a question.
My truck is governed at 62 well actually 61 and when I go to pass someone doing 60 on a 4 lane of course. I try and wait till I have a good bit of time with nobody to hold up so I go to go around and about 10 cars and even some trucks get in behind me sure they are cussing, why dont you guys lift off the gas a bit to let me around. I do it for others and dont see the big deal. Even with the cruise tap the clutch then when am about by hit resume, guess thats too much work for some. I know it may be a bit of whinning but just curious if I am in the wrong for my way of thinking.
Why dont drivers lift to let others pass?

How's this one ? I was coming south on I-71 in KY . Two lanes 70 m.p.h. speed limit . Traffic is going 62 m.p.h. behind a J.B. Hunt and a tanker having an elephant race . After 6 miles J.B. exits to I-264 . The tanker continues on I-71 - and speeds up to 70 m.p.h. ! He could have pulled away from J.B. anytime he wanted . He could care less about backing up traffic . He just wanted to hang J.B. in the left lane . J.B. probably tried to pass 10 miles back when the tanker's speed dropped to under 60 m.p.h. on a hill . I got all the info off the tanker - DOT number and unit number . I keep leaving the info in the truck when I come home though .

Whats worse is when they want to race you...
Or better yet when your climbing a hill passing someone and get to the top but your not quite around them and they start down the other side and just ride beside you....Instead of just speeding up or slowing down they just sit there..? I usually just let them listen to my jake....

generally if it is that much trouble to get around someone, i just don't. it ain't worth the extra blood pressure. i can run about as fast as i want to, but whatever the speed you will always run up on a truck a mile an hour faster. after a few years, it just ain't that big of a deal.
psanderson and BigDogMarty57 Thank this. -

Whats even worse is when a car does it! This happens a lot with cars from states where the speed limit for trucks is 55 and your in a state like KY where its the same speed for both.
I had some idiot messing with me once coming down I-71 in KY. They would pass me then slow down, I'd try to pass then they would speed up. Being that I was loaded and not wanting to be slowed down at the bottom of the hill I kept trying to get around them. I finally got around them, Didn't know my speedometer would go that far...... -
finally i saw a pilot, decided to just stop, sit down and have a cup of coffee then continue after i simmered down LOL
