My truck is governed at whatever speed my right foot feels like sitting at.
I still get passed, and I still let up when I am being slowed down a small amount by a truck that just passed me on a short grade.
On a long grade, I will pull it, and not back off. But on a short one, I know it is not worth it to pass someone that just passed me on a flat.
One thing I will not do though is allow a truck to pass me on a down hill, that I know should not be. IE: a swift truck, central, Schneider, ect.
Any truck that I know is governed at a speed lower than my cruse is set at. I will not let pass if I have the choice. I will get on it a little, so I do not slow them down, but the idiots have no reason to be letting there gravity acceleration cause them to pass trucks they cannot run with.
My truck will go 85++. Not sure on the max. I run 6-7 mph over the limit allot. I do not feel bad about that. It is my call, and the company wants us getting the loads in as quickly as possible, to grab another load.
Why dont drivers lift to let others pass?
