I could only find one Columbia glider for sale on their website? They must be all sold now.

Speaking of cascadia you never see one pulling a milk truck ever. Must not be heavy duty enough. Out of a fleet of 40 trucks the only Freightliner we have is one older classic. The only international is a pair of eagles. The rest is all kw and peterbilt

Yeah but you need to remember who Schneider hires. Owner operators don’t need that crap of their trucks.

Try oil changes every 75k. They didn't sit long either. Last of then were taken out of service last summer, and they're almost all under contract for sale.

One, my post was only about one reason why Schneider moved away from gliders. Not that they are better or worse.

Two - owner operators or drivers for small fleets are not safer drivers. They are not less safe either. Statisitcs show that CMD is very effective at reducing crash rates - regardless of the experience of the driver.

Three - if Alex Omar Lopez had ongaurd or if he had followed the HOS my friends might still be alive.

    #### ongaurd #### i had a 2013 truck in 2017 going down i 68 at 70mph loaded start braking to a complete stop after a cloud of dandelion seeds went in front of me. Also going around on ramps it would brake hard to slow me down after to much body roll! BS is all I can say for trying to jerk me going around while I'm on partly icy curves.

I've driven trucks with DEF since 2012. I haven't had a single problem. Fuel economy is almost the most important factor when getting a truck for companies. A lower-mpg truck is costing you unnecessary money every day until you park or sell it. Fuel & payroll are companies largest expenses.

im sure there is a huge difference in fuel economy for otr but for local milk hauling i bet the difference is small. too many hills out here, heavier loads and too much town driving. dont think your going to get much mileage when your gross is 100K+ and your pulling hills all day.

    Lepton1 and Justrucking2 Thank this.
