The best part of hauling cars? Fuel mileage always sucks, you just don't have to worry about it. LOL

I try to run 75 all day, and get 7.5-8.5 mpg. If I go 55 I get 9-10mpg. 10 percent less fuel burn, 200 less miles a day, 1200 less a week. 1200 miles is a $6000 trip, to save $100 in fuel. I'ma go fast.

You would run into a egt issue to get 850hp out of a 13 litre.

Not if you drive your truck all day and then get to the terminal and the company car is one of these:

At 30mph it feels like you are doing 60 sitting on a skateboard

Nah, billy big rigger just gets more time to idle his truck at the end, so even if they get same mpg while rolling, if same efficiency (gph) while idling, 70 mph burns more fuel in the same turn, unless they dont idle and fuel boi does

Assuming thats true, i should make 1.3 mpg better if i go to 55 not 68, color me skeptical of hitting 6.3 mpg minimum 8.5 mpg max with my 3406e

Thing is, few people will do anything for a minimum of 30 days to see what actually happens.

Exactly. And I wasn't really talking about cranking one up anyways. Just the fact that newer motors make more power with less fuel, even with emissions.
