I have been all over southern Manitoba between Winnipeg and Brandon from Trans Canada 1 to the border. The roads suck big time. Our gravel roads are smoother then their paved roads.

Getting back into the states at Pembina or the Peace Gardens is a pain in the backside for the most part because the brokers are too laxy to get your stuff put in the system.

If you need anything, it costs too much.

One time when I went up there they had the road blocked because some nut case cut off a kids head in a bus.

Oh if you don't have a transponder in your truck, it costs 10.75 just to get back into your own country.

I've driven a spread in western Canada, and its 20,000 in MB, SK, Ab, and BC. In the Yukon its 40000, but thanks to Bc, that point is moot, Lol.

Last 2 times I crossed from Ab into sweetgrass Mt they didn't charge me the $10.75.

With a dog, bring rabies shot papers.

I've been all over the southern part of Canada, from the east to the west. Other than the money and the metrics, not much different than running here, except for Quebec. All the road signs are in French and even though it is supposed to be bilingual and English is spoken there, a lot of the natives won't speak it if they know you are a "yank".

I once asked Canadian customs why the US side had such jerks working for CBP and he thought it was because they had to work swing shifts.
