Agreed airliner is some of the best low-maintenance suspension on the market

That's why my W900 got Airliner over the AG100. Just gotta grind the Freightliner emblems off the spring hangars!

And I must have the only good Columbia ever built.
1,010,000 miles on it and the hood isn’t cracked and I never lost a grill going down the highway.
Every thing on my truck is as it came from the factory and there is not one switch or light not working on my truck nor are there any screws missing because Of my OCD I guess lol.
I do do a ton of meticulous preventative maintenance because I don’t like issues on the road.
At the end of the day I believe how you treat and maintain the equipment has a huge effect on the longevity of a truck no matter what brand.

    Typically poor customer service Too!!!
The LAST Freightliner I owned was back in about 2009, the truck was a 2004 and it a simply would not run after going to the shop multiple times!!!

keeping parts in inventory can be expensive, and they are taxable items. many companies have a very slim stock room these days, to cut down on the tax man making his regular stop overs. plus too, it cuts down on stealing, if they ain't got a fully stocked room.

I always liked Freightliners. Drove several Cascadias and now a Coronado day cab.
My last gig I drove a couple peterbilts and a kenworth - didn’t care for any of em.
The Freightliners seemed to be much more user friendly to me.

i only drove 1 petercar and 1 Western Star, back in my earlier years.

mostly been driving freightshakers, and macks, and Trashionals, i seem to recall 2 Volvos.

as a company driver, i drove what was given me. they all break down, they all have squeaks, creaks, moans and groans....and water leaks. they all rattle at some point and time.

there is NO perfect truck ever made. the roads kill any truck made. we will never have glass smooth roads.

for the o/o, they like a specific brand, but still live with a few annoyances, poor dealer network, and repair costs.

there is no escaping the costs of purchasing, insuring, upkeep, fuel, and what ever else, all trucks (in my opinion) are equal in monies spent.

In reality there hasn’t been a good truck made in the last 15 years.
The rush to make them as light as possible and to make them driver friendly for non-truck drivers has cheapened them up and made them a disposable truck.
We have Volvo’s and Mack’s. The Mack’s are still going and are holding up. The Volvo’s are and have fallen apart.
But then again a tanker is pretty brutal on a truck.
