Why In the world was any of this nonsense even part of CDL requirements??

Has nothing to do with cdl driver training or making sure a driver in training is safe or even ways to get cdl’s. It Has to do with getting other infrastructure things into the community. Yes Walking paths, bike paths, bus stops, routing trucks away from so called “green areas” so more and more no thru truck signs, and of course the biggest push in the last 5 years EV. What does any of that stuff have to do with building a safe cdl applicant or giving a poor person a cdl to “better” themselves.

 

The true farce is the number of people in charge who can help stop climate change but will instead pander to morons who think climate change isn't real. I blame Fox News and Rupert Murdoch's propaganda machine.

You don't have to be liberal to understand the science behind climate change. CO2 holds heat better the more there is. There's a lot more now and it continues to increase. That increased heat load causes all sorts of problem with the weather. The earth will continue on, but by no means is it obligated to continue being hospitable to humans.
