Why is a regular driver's license necessary to get a CDL?

Be sure to check the minimum age requirements for whatever company that you're interested in.

 

I'll keep that in mind when looking. But, I'm thinking that by the time I get my CDL I'll be between 19-23 years old...

 

And you can not drive a commericial vehicle across state lines until your 21

 

I know that as well. I wouldn't be bothered if I got my license before turning 21 and was restricted to driving only in CA.

 

You're right, they were both actors like he his. He's trying to be acting like a truck driver and I'm sure he needs plenty or advisors.
