Why is country music stereotypically synonymous with trucking?
cuz, like country music, when you play the CD/record, tape, video backwards, and you get your wife back, your house back, your boat back, and your dog back....??
when you back up enough as a trucker, your life goes back to that point and time, you decided to be a trucker, and you get to make a different decision and do something else..!!!!!Trucker61016, bzinger, Brettj3876 and 1 other person Thank this. -
One of my favorite shows, The Walking Dead, recently had a fictional country singer in there named "Half Moon" played by Ryan Hurst. A singer so popular before the dead rose that he sold out arenas and was widely known. I'm guessing a Garth Brooks type of artist in the dead-verse.
All in all, TWD seems to be a very rural-centric show for the most part. Even the companion show, Fear TWD slowly went from "dead rising apocalypse in Los Angeles" to "Cowboys and Walkers in Post Apocalyptic Texas" in four seasons.
Yet another example of how that country influence could easily be ingested. -
Because before the smart phone you drove an hour or two and you had to change the station.
There is a lot more country than city out there.
The only problem I have with country is it makes me think about women.Trucker61016 and bentstrider83 Thank this. -

believe me, on my last job (that i retired finally), i could change from one FM country music station to another all night long, going north, then back down south, and get the very same songs, if i just waited like 4 minutes apart..!!!
after a very short time, on the way back south?
i'd be listening to "lonely hearts" talk shows, or sports talk shows.... -
Hey Now.... are you try'n to stereotype Bull Haulers....LMAO ! Just cause we got cows in the box and ride'n on the 2 lane through every little 1 horse town at 2 am with a dip of chew in & a bandana tied around the shifter with a cow bell swing'n on the back on the wagon
Speak'n as 1 ..I will tell ya I'am not a big fan of Blake .. but that song is true to the words..
I'am 50+ years young and still feel more at home with Night Ranger's ..Sister Christian or Bob Seger's Against the Wind rolling through the speaker's @ 2 am as you roll into some little town with a blinking stop light on the town square with the deputy sheriff sitting in his pickup watch'n you roll some coal and he just give's ya a slight smile and nodeswore out, Trucker61016, God prefers Diesels and 1 other person Thank this.
