Why is everyone complaining about the rates?

A quick question. I have a load that is scheduled tomorrow. Today the broker told me it is canceled. then is there any fee he should pay?

 

Lot of dudes with Penske / Ryder tractors too. They aren't doing those for nothing.

 

What does your ratecon/broker agreement specify?

 

Oh yeah, Penske/Ryder tractors pulling those Amazon trailers is a sure sign they're banking

 

I don't know if their banking, but they're certainly not doing them for free. And I know JBH won't even answer the phone for less than $4 mile.

Told ya last year they were going for $5, the ones we had.

 

Common fee for TONU, Truck order not used is $150-$250. Ins sure others get $1000, but all I ever get is burned.

 

Amazon is changing all that. Plus, capacity last year compared to this year is night and day.

I'm sure though when there's a tender rejection or no show, they'll pay if they gotta have that freight.

Besides, the real money is in 8 to 10 drop(s) plant loads from the west coast back east

 

I keep getting invitation (to sign up) emails from Uber Freight, should I respond? Is that where the real money is?

 

Not just JB, I’ve seen a lot of Megas, Pulling them. They don’t work cheap. JBs no dummy, they leave all the crap OTR loads for Independants. Skimming off the top. Nothing invested in their OTR hardly. When it slows, they won’t feel it.Focused on rail and final mile high revenue services

 

is amazon load heavy and takes a lot time to load and unload. That's what i heard if you haul for amazon.
