Ohhhh and I have a couple friends in the area I live that are 1 truck operators with they're own authority.
1 is flatbed and the other is reefer .
They both raped the spot market last summer and laughed at my company's contract rates .
Both of them are starving now .

 

Yep, that's the punjabis flooding in. They have almost taken over the trucking business in Canada. From what I hear, they're also attempting to swarm the industry down there too. Especially California and the Long Island can business.

They may be amusing and somewhat laughable to you now, but mark my words, they will try to take over the trucking industry down there too. There's 25 million of them still wanting to immigrate to Canada and the States.

Yeah those rates suck. The rates went up in garbage when the freight rates went up . They were losing trucks to the spot market craze. Many of those trucks have come back. The garbage rates haven’t dropped at all for actual trash haulers , that have dedicated equipment , Tippers , walking floors etcThe trucks that haul trash on flatbeds have seen the rates drop . I know trucks hauling trash on flatbeds out of Long Island to Ohio for $40 a ton hauling maybe 27 tons as a “ backhaul” . After the company’s 25% and $200 in tolls they’re lucky to be grossing $500 before fuel.... absolutely ridiculous.I know guys going half the distance pulling tipper trailers making $ 60 a ton or more hauling 40 tons in a quad axle tipper . They’re direct haulers . After tolls that’s $2200 for a approx 300 mile trip before fuel. Some haul salt back , most come back empty.

Not trying bud, they are trying to undercut you. Like I said, I don’t haul cheap freight. So your job is safe for a while until they find someone else to do it cheaper than you.

 

By the looks of all the Fancy Trucks out here, There’s definitely some High Rollers. Making the Big Bucks.And spending it too.
