Notice how many people are saying trucks need to be limited to 60 with a lot demanding even lower. 40 seems to be a common demand as well.....you think truck accidents are bad now. Wait till all these morons are grouped up unable to go faster then 60 no matter what and all of them im a hurry anyway with the ones able to go 60.001 mph trying to pass anyway and the road rage it will cause cars everywhere....

That said and back on topic though. Ive been in one of these wrecks. Granted the guy rear ending was a jeep who shoved a honda up under my trailer. But it did almost as much damage as some of these truck wrecks. While the truck wrecks can be insane i think its less a trucker problem as a everyone is too focused on their phone issue.

Likely yes though i neither know for sure nor care. what happens there has no barring on here. Its 2 diffrent cultures, 2 diffrent enviroments (literally) and take a look at how bad people drive around slow moving trucks here in the states now.

What do you think is going to happen when trucks stack up 30-40-50 deep all of the morons trying to pass at .01 mph and cars doing 70 80 or more try to get around them? Or try to cut through the walls of trucks following with less then 30 feet between them like we already see?

Imo it will be a disaster and the number of wrecks is going to be staggering if that law is passed.

Right. But the video @Chinatown posted was all filmed in Europe, with Euro trucks, and Euro drivers. You know the place that is so clean and friendly and perfect and training is superior and regulated so things like bad truck driving never happen.

Fair, but my comment was directed at the comments in the video demanding 60 or lower speeds. It has nothing to do with europe.

Its not a truck driver issue. Its a morons are distracted issue. Hence my example. You need to address the root of the issue which IMO is phones and such. Otherwise laws to slow speeds are just going to make everything else even worse is what i am trying to get at.

This video should be required watching for drivers education classes. It’s not just distracted driving that’s the issue.
All of these drivers have a “me first” mentality, thinking that they can get ahead of a semi, all because they don’t want to be stuck behind said semi!
As well as dashcams my company is installing side mounted cameras on the fleet partly because of incidents involving people driving this.
