US 95 in Idaho is beautiful. I like those little settlements along the Salmon River.

That's a helluva an idea. I never thought of that. You can basically take that road all the way to Umatilla or Hermiston (if my memory is correct). It seems like a nice road also to put as another feather in your cap. I believe you can get a good 180 miles out of this.

Just gotta make sure you have your permits in order. There's a stretch south of Lewiston that's length restricted. Please don't ask me how I know, that's one mistake I don't care to remember

Unless you're under 12', I don't recommend it. Those low tunnels will #### up your day

Nice drive. Not as fast as 84 but good road with small towns. Don't remember any coups except Umatilla. MGE is right about the tunnels.

90, 82, 12 and 5 should be the best bet from ID to Portland. Skips all the major jams in Seattle, Tacoma, JBLM, Centralia and Chehalis.

Route I take up to the Canadian border and back is usually 84, 97, 82, 90 and 95/2

It's been a few years since I ran 4 in a truck. What's the name of the place just before Vancouver where the road is bolted to a cliff?

Closest town to us is Camas, and Washougal isn't too much further out than that. Don't recall a spot where the road is bolted to a cliff, tho
