It's a wash. You get to depreciate the asset if you purchase. Plus deduct the loan interest. It's kind of a preference thing upto the individual.

I only ran 44,000 miles in 2020, and right at 50k in 2019. Guess I need a new career.

When i bought my truck i leased it thru the bank. I bought it for a $1 at the end of the lease. Not a big deal, and i would do it again. It worked to be cheaper over the length of the loan to lease the truck vs. purchase the truck.

There will be PLENTY of months where it would have been cheaper to have a brand new truck after a used 07 trucks repair bills. :) Good thing is you don’t have to worry about repo man looking for you.

I bought my truck at 749,000 miles we’re over 1.2 million miles now. Everything imaginable can and will break eventually.
