I don't understand your comments about Werner's lease program. They do not have a lease program. Theirs is a purchase program. The individual buys the truck from Werner Fleet Sales.

 

Let me see if I can help two of the three posters here.

beckiboo05; your first problem was, when you left a large company.....you went with a larger one, then another larger one. "Think small".

Also; if you only had one accident.....then you only have one accident report, one accident on your on your state MVR etc....
If DAC says you have THREE; then it's not that difficult to proove they are wrong......and also you might want to consider a law-suit for defflimation of character, and liable against Werner and USIS/DAC.

I can't for the life of me understand why they'd say 3 when it's one. Are we being truthful with ourselves?


pawpaw; the individual does not own the truck until it is paid for-----you are LEASEING it with PURCHASE being the end result (good luck with that one)------sounds like you've been brain washed my friend. WERNER wants you to belive their program is better than anyone elses, so they attempted to change the name of the program that never works, in hopes to rope in oblivious fools. Did it work?

 

I had my truck leased on at Werner back in 2001. I never had a probelm with anything, except not getting enough miles. I ran southeast, regional.

 

Then I guess when you go to the bank and finance your car you are leasing it until it is paid off than you purchased it. Werner secures a loan for the truck for the purchaser, just as a dealership may secure a loan for you to purchase a vehicle from them. You are required to lease the truck on to Werner as long as it is financed through their lender. After 6 months, you can refinance the truck with the lender of your choice at which time you no longer HAVE to remain leased on to Werner. At that point it is your choice what you do with the truck.

I haven't been brainwashed, and I am not even considering Werner at this point. I just took the time to read the contracts and develop an understanding of what I could and could do.

 

The company that owns the dealership, owns the trucking company.

The company that holds the note is the company you drive for.

The one that controls your check, holds your note.

The company you are required to lease to is the same company that helped you purchase the truck.

Is any of this sinking in?

 

Don't disagree with you for the first 6 months but after 6 months you can refinance it away from that company to a lender of your choice. At that point the company you drive for does NOT hold your note and you are no longer REQUIRED to lease to tehm. You sign a PURCHASE Agreement not a LEASE agreement: there is a difference (look it up in the dictionary if you need a further explanation of the difference between a lease and a purchase). You CANNOT refinance a lease but you can a loan for purchase.

That's right.....you don't.


It is a lease/purchase. Plain and simple.

The company does not want to see you succeed. They want to sell that truck to as many people as they can. By the time that truck is driven into the ground, the title will have 15-25 names on it.

They have your balls for 6 months. First month or two.....you'l rake in the dough baby!!!!!! Then, as time gets closer.....miles drop......pay cut down to mear pennies......and pawpaw is turning in a truck he can no longer pay for.

Volantary Repo on your credit........not a penny in the bank.......house payment suffers close to losing that.......car payment suffers, close to losing that......no food in the cupboards, electricity shut off....no hot water; wait! No water at all.

Whether you (or Werner) chose to call it "lease", "purchase", or "lease/purchase"------the end result is the same.

FAILURE!

Werner is no fool.They do sell used trucks.If you can finance at a finance Co.of your choice your ok but as long as Werner is in control even for 6 months they can put the screws to you because they are in it to make money.
