Buying a truck is like a box of chocolates, I'm surprised Ridgeline didn't say this, if you're buying a truck and want to know what you're getting, do an oil analysis(on everything), download the ECM, dyno, have an experienced mechanic look at it. Anything else is buyer beware and should be reflected in the price. Just remember there's an A-hole for every seat and plenty of A-holes trying to fill it. I apologize, Ridgeline did say it, due diligence.
Why no paperwork on rebuilds/maintenance?

It is pretty much the law that all repairs are recorded, but then again I am terrible about that too. I will do quite a few things thinking I
will write it down all at once. then wind up going through the receipts trying to remember everything I have done the last couple or three months. That doesn't work either, because I am bad about buying bulk parts and sometimes I will still be using them two or three years later. lol
I suppose it could just as easily go the other way, when buying a truck. I always have parts I have not installed, I suppose a guy could give them copies of reciepts and claim to have done the work, if he was a crook.
