Yep. One of them. Poor Thing still hanging on. She wore out our second car ‘84 GrandPrix. 330 and some thousand miles on it’s original 305. It’s gonna get overhauled soon. That one has A/C.

You actually think new emissions trucks are more reliable than pre-emissions trucks?

Mine has been pretty darn reliable. They aren’t the same as 2006-2015. They really have ironed at lot of the kinks.

The thing I hate most about taking my truck to a mechanic shop? Finding a ride to and from. And the small shop I use is less than 5 miles from me. I fix most everything myself because I enjoy doing it, mostly. I hate paying other people to do things I can do. I haven't had an unplanned break down in some time. I'm big on preventative maintenance. If something major needs done I make plans for it. I also like to work and don't want to wait a week for my truck to be done. Their isn't much I can't knock out in a day or two. I also finished my shop so I can have a nice place to work on the truck.

A new truck scares the crap out of me. I'm not a fan of many dealer shops that would cover warranty.

    And?

For 2022, my entire shop experience was about an hour or so for a wheel seal. So I lost out on, *calculator noises* a whole $4.47. You know, for the unexpected time the truck was down. Plus the cost of the seal and some hub oil.

Don’t know if I’m gonna recover.

Rideandrepair, lynchy, Siinman and 4 others Thank this.

I mean, 2021 was zero. So it’s definitely going downhill. Burning cash.
