Why pay for reserved parking when truck stops will let anybody park there for free!?!

I'm at the Flying J in Kansas City, MO tonight.
This is one place I always reserve a spot.
At 2230 and there is police kicking people out of reserved parking that didn't pay for a spot. That is nice to see.

I'm assuming the 1 just north of Denton, TX or the 1 just north of Hillsboro, TX.

Was at a 1-9 on i80 in Nebraska. Usually 1-9 has no reserved parking. This place switched name. I’m rationalizing they still had a couple reserve signs. I asked lady inside. Said they kind of have it but don’t worry. Park anywhere.
Sure enough. One Prime truck out there with parking receipt on windshield. He went and took both reserved signs. Placed them in one spot next to him.

Pilot in Stratford TX. Drivers often squeeze the main driveway. But this late night. They had it completely blocked. Six side to side. Double deep. Had to drive through fuel line. Then U turn. Told them inside. Lady decided they went overboard that night. She went out there. Banged on doors. Kicked them all out.

    bzinger and Kenworth6969 Thank this.

This is why I would stay away from T/S for overnight parking if I can help it. I usually would find an industrial area to park in.

That's a good question but truck stops are usually fairly far from city centers so you'd still need to cab back to your truck if you're just visiting. I'd say free parking at walmarts is better depending on the size of your truck.

Enjoy getting towed from a paid spot next time you're in mine.
