No LS agent calls me. Correct that's before LS takes theirs, but they don't take any of the extras. There's FSC, loading, unloading all come out of that 3.83 pay me 100%, then LS takes there 65%.
Sometimes there is hazmat pay, lump sum, they take 65 of that. They take 65 of stop pay also.
Detention is 100% mine.
Guarantee this load will have 3 or 4 hours detention.
But it's no hassle. You give in / out time, bang it's put on freight bill.DSK333 Thanks this. -
Nice. What's the detention?
-
I just do van. Flat bed where the monster money is.
Landstar #1 in North America specialized heavy haul carrier.
I'm too old for that. I'm good with what I got.DSK333 Thanks this. -
Not enough. $50 hour.
Should be $100.DSK333 Thanks this. -
What’s the diff?
-
I agree. Day rates around here average 100-120/hr. So detention should be about the same. Any less is total BS IMO.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

My unlaiden is $19.45 week.
The $3500 is for all the rest, collision, cargo, comp policy, BT.Cat sdp Thanks this. -
Who's the company or insurance agent that quoted you that rate? I need to call them too!
-
He does all of Landstar. I mean they don't make you use him. You can buy anywhere, but LS is BIG policy lol.
I'll dig it out, and PM you.DSK333 Thanks this.
