Why PC and Cell Phone Security should be #1 priority.

This incident happened over the past 2 weeks, to my niece. Via her cell phone and online community postings.

Over the past 2 weeks, she has received repeated threats from multiple people. Via texting and Face book postings.

While one of the perps was easily identified, and shut down by the local police. The second proved to be even harder, since warrants were needed to pursue the issue further.

In the end it came to light, the second perp was the same as the first.

She had hacked her boyfriends online accounts/passwords, using his own computer that she had linked to hers. Then went on what could only be called a mental breakdown.

The young man (the supposed 2nd perp), had a warrant issued for him. When officers arrived at the home. He had been OUT of the country for the past 2 weeks, and was still out.

After seizing his PC, they managed to track everything back to his nut case of a girlfriend.

A 3rd party (actually 2nd) was also indentified. And has been charged. She was an adult.

All is quiet now
