and that is just part of the job--doing your pretrip--checking for load security and i would like to think that in trucking there is less screwing around than in more traditional jobs---lots of people out here still look out for each other
but like nana said--in every occupation there are jerks--just part of life---
Why? Please explain it to me

You know one time I backed into a curb and tore the mud flaps off my trailer, didnt realize I had done it. It was as I was pulling out of a truck stop, I had to back up and pull forward to get around a swift truck that had parked in the driveway not a parking space.
Another driver tried to contact me on the CB, but I had mine shut off, so he picked them up. I discovered I didnt have any mud flaps later that morning when I pulled into the next truck stop I pulled into about 5 hours down the road. I was pissed because they were nice mudflaps, they were the good anti sail kind, and had the stainless weights on them and they were brand new.
I woke up the next morning to find a sticky note on my window, the driver had pulled into the same truck stop I did and gave me the mudflaps back, and gave me a hand putting them back on. I thanked him by buying breakfast. Turned out to be a real nice guy had been trucking since the early 90's -
My wife and I have come to an agreement that PEOPLE SUCK. It does not matter what race/color/creed people are. They just suck.
