I agree. I don't see any more harm in pot than I do alcohol.
But...it's against the law. Period. Whether or not the law is a good one isn't for me to decide. I just know that if any of our drivers burn one on the weekend and test dirty the following week they're history. I don't like that and I'd like to see it change.
If the pot smokers want a different and better law there are paths to that.
In the meantime I wish they'd quit whining and use some of that energy they're spending in useless arguments to help get the law changed. They can do it.
So, for now you can dope or you can drive. Choose one.
Why so many questions about drugs, drug tests and criminal convictions?

That’s why I get so irritated by casual questions on drug use and how to hide it and how to keep doing it. #### off!

It's other drivers I work with that get themselves in legal trouble with booze and their cdl and then the boss apparently bails them out if they have been there long enough and show retention.
What I had said was that IF I was not driving a cmv and did not have a cdl, I would not hesitate to violate this stupid lame law.
Clearly I drive a cmv and know these things don't go well together due to backwards fsmca laws.
I am allowed to have an opinion, read my entire post next time. -

BTW I passed a hair follicle test when I was with Werner. I have not consumed anything since. Hell not even a single drink.
In short I don't drink, smoke cannabis, or tobacco. My worst offense is vaping nicotine eliquid.
I'm a professional driver and put that foremost in front of anything else like I should.
I have an opinion. The minute the law changes im sparking one up off duty. That day is eventually coming. -
I'm not screwing up my cdl over my beliefs. I like driving truck more the I liked smoking weed and I have a family. I have common sense something our society lacks.
I will likely drive the rest of my working years unless medical reasons prevent me from doing so. -
Right on. Like i said to each their own. Doesn’t do nothin for me but make me sleepy. And having apnea I get that enough already
. Just glad you are safe on the road

Pre-cdl I would smoke sometimes to help me catch zz's. Great natural safe sleeping aide something I would only have done at night. I'm not the best sleeper. It's not something I would do or suggest in the middle of the day, I always wanted to be more productive during the day. Weed gives you a nice buzz and then makes you sleep. Much safer then niquil. That is a fact. People abuse niquil.
Also I suffer from occasional breathing problems on very humid nights, I have in the PAST used it to relieve those symptoms. Weed is a bronical dilator opens your airways.... Medical fact. It's something I used only for that purpose because at the time I had nothing else in the house..
My wife once had a severe sinus and migraine infection. She had to go to the ER it was so bad. They sent her home with antibiotics and opiate pain killers, she didn't touch the pain pills and smoked a modest amount to take the edge off her severe pain. Safer then pain pills.
You can self medicate with cannabis which is a big reason it has stayed illegal. Much less dependent on big pharma for their chemical drugs and poision. They make a ton of money off this stuff which is why we have such a serious herion problem as a society.
I'm talking pre-cdl before the flame comments come out again. -
When it comes to my CDL I make the right decisions until such a time the law changes.
