One thing I have come to see while trying to get a trucking job, is that they want to know everything about you since you were born!! I swear that when I went to join the Army it was far less paperwork and only had to sign my name once!! LOL!!![]()
Why so much info needed??

It gets even better when you start your hazmat background. Even more so, when you get cleared for Goobermint loads.

The Army wouldn't be dragged into court if you ran over someone. The Army can afford new equipment if you trash one. The Army can invest money into you and get their return. The list goes on. With todays economy the companies must ensure they get every dollar back that they intrust you with.
So that's why the companies want to know everything about you so they can pick the best applicant. Look at it this way. If you had two drivers applying for the same job and one driver can account for all his time, has good credit, and has never been fired and he's up against a driver that has gaps in his record, is in debt up to his you know what, and has been fired a couple of times how would you hire? That's why I always say protect your record so you can get the best job down the road. -

Shhhh - they just haven't thought of it yet.Yeah, there is a lot of paperwork and background checks. But when you stop to think that the company will be trusting you with loads that can range over a million bucks, it may be a little easier to understand why they are careful.

Next year, it's going to be a full Upper and Lower GI on the physical.
Or, that's what someone told my daughters BF. I laughed so hard I almost cried. I couldn't believe he bought it. -
I sure wouldn't "buy" one of those.
Butt, it might make me cry.
THAT'S no laughing matter.
