The issue that I have is that the "feelings" are based on nonsense. I can't stand Dennys and won't even consider patronizing a truckstop that has one in it.
I still drive for a living...I can still eat pretty much whatever I want. The uncreative ninnys that think they are stuck eating whateve the truckstop offers can eat themselves to death for all I care.
Yes it is!![]()

I get a real kick out of the lazy arses who feel "trapped" to eat at Wendy's because they won't waddle their butts 1/2 mile down the road or across the freeway (under the bridge, of course) to a Cracker Barrel or Chilis or Applebee's...
Then again, they might have to shower before going into some place decent.blackw900 Thanks this. -

ECU, lighten up before you have a stroke. I ate there as a kid, but don't eat there now - I continually referred to the past when talking about Sambos and such.
We've moved on to better things.. THREAD HIJACK NOTICE... like guns. -
As you wish...
Any man that lets his wife carry a .380 instead of a real gun should be forced to eat at Waffle House. -
Pardon me, but did it ever occur to you it might have been her choice? It's kind of Neanderthal thinking that a woman has to have her man's permission to do something.
Beside that, .380 is a nice little pistol for smaller hands and has plenty of stopping power. It's a .38 caliber projectile with just enough powder to do the job but not so much as to punch right on through like the 9mm had a habit of doing. I personally know many a police officer who carries a .380 as a backup gun. Quite frankly, I don't want to be on the receiving end of any firearm regardless of caliber and power.
Men!!

A .22 round put in the right place will take someone out.

LOL. I knew you wouldn't understand. That's the way we do things in the White Man's world.

I'll agree, though, that having anything is better than nothin'. If you're not put off by a wheelgun, try out a S&W 642 sometimes. Weighs next to nothing and easy to conceal. You can fill it up with five .38 +P JHP's and I think you'd be a lot better off. My wife has one and I don't feel like a wuss by admitting that I carry it more than she does. -
I had to sell my Colt Anaconda .44M a few years ago. It was such a fun hand cannon that I wanted to take it out all the time. It was too hard on my arthritic wrists, so I sold it to a collector friend for a dirt-cheap price. I didn't want the money so much as for it to go to someone who would appreciate it.
If I carry now, it's a S&W 626 9mm. Hunting rifle is a Weatherby .308 with a Tasco wide-angle and home protection a Mossberg 12 ga. -
I'm retired military law enforcement, been a competitiven pistol and rifle shooter for 27 years, and I'm very happy arming my wife with a .380. Meaner than the .38 special police weapons that ruled law enforcement and killed bad guys for years, and the same basic round as a 9mm, only with a little less muzzle velocity.
And this little guy is a HANDFUL, both in size and when firing - it's like a mini-cannon. Plus, we use fragmenting rounds.
